Privacy Policy

VibePal supports optional Google Sign-In for member accounts. When you sign in, the server stores your Google account identifier, email address, display name, profile image URL, verification status, sign-in timestamps, active plan selection, subscription date, valid-until date, any pending next-cycle plan change, member profile fields you choose to save, favorite friends, pal ratings and written reviews, vibe quiz attempts and answers, friendship journeys and hangout progress, pal memory, weekly plans, multi-pal programs, and workspace preferences.

The site does not collect payments, payment methods, or hangout bookings on the server in this prototype. Hosting providers may still log standard technical data such as IP address, browser, and requested path.

For private, realtime operations reporting, VibePal records public page paths, referrer hosts, country codes, coarse device, browser, and operating-system categories, bot classification, whether a visitor is signed in, a timestamp, and a monthly rotating salted visitor hash. Country codes come from the hosting provider or CDN when available; otherwise, the server uses country-only IP lookup services and caches only a salted IP hash and country code. Raw IP addresses are not stored, account and workspace routes are excluded, activity rows are deleted after seven days, and country cache entries expire after 31 days.

VibePal uses a server-managed Gemini connection. Typed chat and learning-path requests pass through the VibePal server to Google Gemini. For signed-in members, pal messages and voice-call transcripts are saved to the VibePal account so conversation history can appear in the message center and support hangout continuity. Pal chat and voice preference settings remain in the browser.

Vibe quiz attempts, friendship journeys, pal memory, weekly plans, multi-pal programs, workspace preferences, hangout notes, confidence checks, and review-queue choices are saved to your signed-in account. The latest result for each tested interest may be included in pal chat and call context so a pal can start at an appropriate level. A browser cache keeps the workspace responsive, while review cards are generated from saved hangout progress.

For live calls, the VibePal server issues a short-lived, single-use Gemini session token. Your browser then sends microphone audio, typed live-call input, pal instructions, and screen frames you explicitly choose to share directly to Google Gemini. Screen sharing is limited to the screen, window, or browser tab you approve and does not include screen audio. Google handles those requests under its own terms and privacy policy.

Collaborative whiteboards are saved locally in your browser. When you choose Show pal or the AI friend requests a board inspection, a compressed board snapshot and normalized drawing summary pass through the VibePal server to Google Gemini for visual interpretation. VibePal does not save that snapshot to the account database.
